  1. I've got a function which basicly checks if a URL exists.  It first checks using the fsockopen function and if there is a connection it returns a true value e.g. <?php $connection = fsockopn("localhost", 80, $errno, $errstr, 30); if($connection) {     return true; } else {     return false; } ?> It's that simple,  but when the script is run it prompts the user to download the page they are currently viewing. I also tried adding fclose($connection); before the boolean is returned but it still does it.
