1. Hi. I'm using XAMPP. MySQL batabase is now deactivated. I don't know why. It was OK a couple of days ago. I can't start mysql using CMD. got an error message saying ERROR 1045 <28000>: Access denied for user 'ODBC'@'localhost' <using password: NO> Does anyone know what does this happen and how to solve it? Thanx in advance.
2. Hi. I'm pretty much a newbie. I'm not quite sure whether I'm in the right forum. So please help. I installed a php installation package called WinLAMP from http://winlamp.sourceforge.net/. However, due to some problems during installation, I uninstalled the package. Now, I'm using XAMPP installation package (http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html) and all the components (MySQL, Apache, phpMyadmin, etc) are working fine. The problem now is that whenever I entered http://localhost/ in Mozilla Firefox, I'll get WinLAMP welcome page. I will only get XAMPP welcome page when I enter http://localhost/xampp/. I do not encounter this problem when using Internet Explorer. This is weird because I'm very sure that I have totally remove WinLAMP (Start>>All Programs>>WinLAMP>>Uninstall WinLAMP). I also checked the directory in which I installed the WinLAMP package and it has been totally removed. And just like you to know that I'm using Windows XP Pro. To summarise, I would like to know:- a) whether I'm having two localhost. b) if I am, how do I remove the localhost installed by WinLAMP? c) if I'm not, why did I get the WinLAMP welcome page? Please help me to solve this problem. If I am in the wrong forum, please refer me to the correct one. A fast reply is greatly appreciated. Thanx.
