  1. OMG... thank you for this post. I've been a PHP Guru for since 2001... and I just 24hours trying to get it to work on W2K, which normally I use Linux.  However the first time I've use 5.1.x  and I didn't realize that the directive  short_tag_open = off I was pulling my nose hair out. This is what you need to change in the php.ini  in order to make  <? echo phpinfo() ?> work..    otherwise you have to u se <?php  echo phpinfo(); ?>
  2. I couldn't get it work under IIS either... but I did at least get pass that problem. What you need to do is go into IIS and change the Permission on the Home Directory tab. Do a right over your site... go down to properties and then to the Home Dir tab..... Hope this helps.
