  1. I could see why it would be nice to have the delete functionality, however I generally will program an application without a delete function on purpose. For archival purposes I usually want things to stick around in the database. What I do is have a field for active/inactive and than set it to a default bit of "1", if I want to "delete" it than I have a form set that bit to "0" and eliminate it from any of my listings. SELECT * from table WHERE active <> 0
  2. My answer sounds about the same as most everyone here but I thought I would chime in. I usually start with DW to make the HTML shell so it lays out nicely (which it is quick at) and sometimes some of the basic PHP code than handcode the rest. I've been using Dreamweaver mostly as of late (I used GoLive for years) because it does have some decent PHP support and doesnt mess with my hand coding if I use it to edit the pages (well, usually it doesnt). It's my hopes that Macromedia will improve the capabilites of Dreamweaver in the future, but of course only time will tell
  3. Dreamweaver MX 2004 does have this option built-in, unfortunetly Dreamweaver MX does not. I belive I saw an extension on the macromedia exchange that adds this functionality to MX; a search for "PHP Authentication" under the Dreamweaver exchange ought to turn it up.
