I'm a little bit confused here. Is search.php working OK now on your localhost and showing the results you expected, but not working online?

Not great I'm afraid. There were a couple of scrollbars at the top of the page which disappeared underneath the menu bar. The rest of the page was blank, apart from the background and the footer information (sign in link + contact details). I viewed the page in IE7, screen resolution 1024 x 768.

I don't particularly like the orange and yellow text on the side bar either - I find it a little distracting. Also, I don't like the way the side bar is aligned with the top of the page, I think it looks a bit scruffy.

So have I, but the link was OK yesterday when I tried it

A small grammatical error: it's 'Our community has', not 'Our community have'.

Hi, I am 36 years old and live in Oxfordshire in the UK. I have been studying PHP/MySQL on and off (more off than on!) for the past 18 months. As I am now unemployed, I am devoting more time to learning PHP/MySQL so I hope to become fairly competent in the subject.

You've come to the right place then Don't tell them that! The next thing you know, they'll bring friends. I think you're quite safe there - I don't have any friends.

I am no expert on design, but there appears to be too many fonts (different colours, size, and type) on the main page, so it all looks rather messy.

Hi Prawn, I thought the navigation was a little bit confusing. The main index page listed all the recent threads, but did not show the main forum topics - I had to search around to find them. Having said that, I think I will join up and give it a go.

That's easy. I want to become a PHP/MYSQL developer. I have a hell of a lot to learn to achieve my goal, but I am determined to do it.

My first ever post on phpfreaks! What is the difference between mysql_escape_string and mysql_real_escape_string? Is one a newer version of the other?
