Dear very helpful people:

Have MySQL5.1.65, Apache2.2, PHP5.3.8, Win 7 with the following code:

<?php
 $mysql = mysql_real_connect('localhost', 'root', 'mypassword', 'mydatabase');
 if (!$mysql) {
   die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error());
 }

?>

generating the following emsg:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_real_connect() in C:\Program Files (x86)\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\includes\db.php on line 2

Was reading after googling the emsg and read somewhere about using the extension, php5_mysql.dll in php.ini file. But am unable to find php5.mysql.dll anywhere. Currently have extension = php_mysql.dll.

Headache continues, need help,

Yshua
