  1. Thanks I'll take a look!
  2. Hi I am using the to generate a PDF. What I'm looking to do, is to possibly 'nest' cells inside another cell. ============================ | Main Cell | | ============= =========== | | Cell 2 | | Cell 3 | | ============= =========== | | ============================ So you can see I have one, main cell, and inside this I have Cell 2 and Cell 3, which I'd like inside/nested the main cell. Is this possible using the fpdf library? Thanks
  3. Excellent! Thanks! How do I access each element though, i.e. echo "ID is: .$variable"; echo "Duration is: .$variable"; echo "City is: .$variable"; for each of the array items? Thanks
  4. Yeah something like that, but, if possible, in each of the array, could I also pull in the city? [Chicago] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [iD] => 12518984 [Duration] => 1600 [City] => Chicago ) )
  5. Hi I have an XML file that I've been trying to parse with some success. <?xml version='1.0' encoding='ISO-8859-1'?> <Notes> <Madrid> <trip> <ID>12518980</ID> <Duration>130</Duration> </trip> <trip> <ID>12518981</ID> <Duration>600</Duration> </trip> <trip> <ID>12518982</ID> <Duration>50</Duration> </trip> </Madrid> <London> <trip> <ID>12518983</ID> <Duration>Suzuki</Duration> </trip> </London> <Chicago> <trip> <ID>12518984</ID> <Duration>1600</Duration> </trip> <Chicago> </Notes> I am able to get all the nodes that I want, which is mainly ID and duration using: $objDOM = new DOMDocument(); $objDOM->load("data.xml"); $note = $objDOM->getElementsByTagName("trip"); foreach( $note as $value ) { $ids = $value->getElementsByTagName("ID"); $id = $ids->item(0)->nodeValue; $durations = $value->getElementsByTagName("Duration"); $duration = $duration->item(0)->nodeValue; echo "ID is:".$id."<br />"; echo "Duration is:".$duration."<br />"; } What I'd really like to do, is to the get duration and ID for each of the parent nodes, i.e. Mardid, London and Chicago, without having 3 separate foreach loops, if that is possible?
  6. Hi I have the following code: $image_1 = $value->getElementsByTagName("Image1"); $image1 = $image_1->item(0)->nodeValue; $image_2 = $value->getElementsByTagName("Image2"); $image2 = $image_2->item(0)->nodeValue; $image_3 = $value->getElementsByTagName("Image3"); $image3 = $image_3->item(0)->nodeValue; $filename_1 = basename($image1); $ch = curl_init ($image1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, 0); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_BINARYTRANSFER,1); $rawdata=curl_exec ($ch); curl_close ($ch); $fp = fopen(Mage::getBaseDir('media') . DS . 'import/'.$filename_1,'w'); fwrite($fp, $rawdata); fclose($fp); $filename_2 = basename($image2); $ch = curl_init ($image2); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, 0); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_BINARYTRANSFER,1); $rawdata=curl_exec ($ch); curl_close ($ch); $fp = fopen(Mage::getBaseDir('media') . DS . 'import/'.$filename_2,'w'); fwrite($fp, $rawdata); fclose($fp); $filename_3 = basename($image3); $ch = curl_init ($image3); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, 0); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_BINARYTRANSFER,1); $rawdata=curl_exec ($ch); curl_close ($ch); $fp = fopen(Mage::getBaseDir('media') . DS . 'import/'.$filename_3,'w'); fwrite($fp, $rawdata); fclose($fp); Would someone help me to refactor this, as I can seem needing $image_4, $image_5 at a later date. Thank you
  7. Hi I have an array of items that I am currently displaying a foreach loop What I'm looking to do, is add a string, to all of items, a part from the last 4: foreach ($pager->getResults() as $items => $item) { echo $item->getName(); //need to add a string to this for the all but the last 4 } Thanks
  8. Both worked great! Thanks
  9. Hi I have a form that is to input data from input fields to a table. The form is as follows: $query = $DB->query("SELECT country_code, country_id, IF(country_code = '".$country_code."', '', '') AS sel FROM exp_sme_countries WHERE site_id='".$this->settings['site_id']."' ORDER BY country_name ASC"); foreach ($query->result as $row) { $options .= '<label>' . 'Phrase for ' . $this->settings['countries'][$row['country_code']] . '</label>' . '<br />'; $options .= '<input style="width: 100%; height: 5%;" id="country_data" type="text" name="country_id[]" />' . '<br /><br />'; $options .= '<input type="hidden" name="country_data[' . $row['country_id'] . ']" value="'.$row['country_id'].'" />'; } This outputs: <input style="width: 100%; height: 5%;" id="country_data" type="text" name="country_id[]" /> <input type="hidden" name="country_data[68]" value="68" /> <input style="width: 100%; height: 5%;" id="country_data" type="text" name="country_id[]" /> <input type="hidden" name="country_data[28]" value="28" /> What I need to do, is get the values from the input fields and then match them with the correct hidden field value So if in the first input field, I typed in 'Test data' and the second input, i typed 'This is great' On the POST, I need to find the the value ('Test data') and also the value from the hidden field. So something like: I'd rather not use $_GET as this is a form that inserts data into a database. Could someone point my in the right direction or provide an example?
  10. Hi I have a captcha image, that is generated by a PHP script. Currently the user can change the captcha, by clicking on the image, but I'd like this to be done by clicking on a hyperlink 'Change captcha' My current code is: <a href='' onClick='return false' title='Reload image'> <img src='/index.php/captcha?<?php echo time(); ?>' onClick='this.src="/index.php/captcha?r=" + Math.random() + "&reload=1"'> </a> Can someone advise me on how to achieve this?
  11. Ok, this seems to work ok. My only problem now is I need to not only insert the value in the text box but also the country_id <input type="text" name="country_data[69]" id="country_data" style="width: 100%; height: 5%;"> <input type="text" name="country_data[89]" id="country_data" style="width: 100%; height: 5%;"> <input type="text" name="country_data[45]" id="country_data" style="width: 100%; height: 5%;"> So When the form is submitted, I also need to get the values of 69, 89, 45 etc Is this possible?
  12. Hi all I have 3 tables Table_1, Table_2 and Table_3 Table_1 is a list of countries, with name and country_id Table_2 is a table that has 3 fields, id, name and description Table 3 is a table that has name, Table_2_id So what I need to do: Display the name and description field of Table_2 in a form Loop through the countries table and display each as an input box and display on the same form When I fill out the form details, the name/description must be inserted into Table_2, creating an id The input boxes data then also needs inserting into Table_3, with the foreign key of Table_2_id So a small example would be: Name: testing Description: this is a test Country of Australia: Hello Country of Zimbabwe: Welcome This means that in Table_2, I will have the following: ============================= | id | name | description | 1 | testing | this is a test ============================= Table_3 ============================= | Table_2_id | name | country_id | 1 | Hello | 20 | 1 | Welcome | 17 ============================= 20 is the country_id of Australia 17 is the country_id of Zimbabwe Code: Generating the input fields dynamically: $site_id = $this->settings['site_id']; $options = ''; $country_code = ''; $query = $DB->query("SELECT country_code, country_id, IF(country_code = '".$country_code."', '', '') AS sel FROM Table_1 WHERE site_id='".$this->settings['site_id']."' ORDER BY country_name ASC"); foreach ($query->result as $row) { $options .= '<label>' . 'Test for ' . $this->settings['countries'][$row['country_code']] . '</label>' . '<br />'; //$row['country_id'] is the country_id from Table_1 $options .= '<input style="width: 100%; height: 5%;" id="country_data" type="text" name="' . $row['country_id'] . '" value="GET_VALUE_FROM_DB" />' . '<br /><br />'; } echo $options; This outputs: Textareas go here...... <label>Test for Australia</label> <input type="text" value="" name="20" id="country_data" style="width: 100%; height: 5%;"> <label>Test for Zimbabwe</label> <input type="text" value="" name="17" id="country_data" style="width: 100%; height: 5%;"> Now, I need to insert the value of the input field and it's country_id (20 or 17) into Table_3 and also Table_2_id. This then means I could get the value from Table_3 to populate 'GET_VALUE_FROM_DB' But I'm at a loss on how I'd do this. Could someone help me with this? Thanks
  13. Hi all I have a form with a few textareas and a bunch of input fields. The input fields are dynamically created from querying a country table. $query = $DB->query("SELECT country_code, country_id, IF(country_code = '".$country_code."', '', '') AS sel FROM countries WHERE site = 'test' ORDER BY country_name ASC"); foreach ($query->result as $row) { $options .= '<label>' . 'Phrase for ' . $this->settings['countries'][$row['country_code']] . '</label>' . '<br />'; $options .= '<input style="width: 100%; height: 5%;" id="country_data" type="text" name="' . $row['country_id'] . '" />' . '<br /><br />'; $options .= '<input type="hidden" name="country_id" id="country_id" value="' . $row['country_id'] . '" />'; } This is fine and outputs all the input fields I need. The problem comes when I need to get the value of each field input field and pass it into a query. The 'value' field of the inputs are numbers, such as 68, 70, 124, 108 etc so I can't get them in a for loop etc What's the easiest way to get all of these input field values? Can I use $_POST?
  14. Well that doesn't really help me. I just to loop through and possibly replace the _1, _2 with an incrementing value
  15. Hi all I have some code I'd like to re-factor <?php $question_1 = $form->getObject()->getQuestion1(); $question_2 = $form->getObject()->getQuestion2(); ?> <div class="admin"> <div> <?php echo $form['question_1']->renderLabel(); echo $question_1; ?> </div> </div> <div class="adminl"> <div> <?php echo $form['question_2']->renderLabel(); $q2 = str_replace("-", '<br />',$question_2); echo $q2; ?> </div> </div> I'd preferably like some kind of for loop, that will just increment the _1, _2 values. Can anyone offer some help? Thanks
  16. Excellent!! Thank you
  17. Hi I have a method, which is pretty large. It has a lot of 'duplicate' code and I'd like to refactor it: protected function doSave($con = null) { $choices_1 = $this->getValue('question_1'); $choices_2 = $this->getValue('question_2'); $choices_3 = $this->getValue('question_3'); $choices_4 = $this->getValue('question_4'); $serialized_ = ""; $first = true; foreach($choices_1 as $choice_1) { if(!$first) { $serialized_1 .= ","; } $first = false; $serialized_1 .= $choice_1; } foreach($choices_2 as $choice_2) { if(!$first) { $serialized_2 .= ","; } $first = false; $serialized_2 .= $choice_2; } foreach($choices_3 as $choice_3) { if(!$first) { $serialized_3 .= ","; } $first = false; $serialized_3 .= $choice_3; } foreach($choices_4 as $choice_4) { if(!$first) { $serialized_4 .= ","; } $first = true; $serialized_4 .= $choice_4; } $this->setValue('question_1', $serialized_1); $this->setValue('question_2', $serialized_2); $this->setValue('question_3', $serialized_3); $this->setValue('question_4', $serialized_4); return parent::doSave($con); } You can see most of the arrays have a '_1', '_2' after them, the same goes for the $serialized variables. What I'd like is to maybe have some kind of loop, that will reduce my code down, and rather than me typing all the code above, possibly increment the '_1', '_2' part upto the 5 iterations. Can anyone provide some help/code for me to carry this out? Regards
