    backup of a big MySQL database

    Hi,

     

    Following problem :

     

    I want to create a webbased possibility to backup the MySQL database on the webserver.

     

    To put it simply : a button, that when you click it, saves a file with the content of the database to a certain directory on the site.

     

    I have used msqldump, but this always times out.

     

    Are there other options ?
