INSERTING
in MySQL Help

Hello!
I am learning how to use MySQL and i have this little problem with inserting values; after i type this:
INSERT INTO books (author, title) VALUES (`William Shakespeare`, `Hamlet`);
the message I receive is :
Unknown column `William Shakespeare` in `field list`.
What is wrong? I would appreciate if i receive a little help.
