  1. I'm trying to password protect and admin area but an included script, but it's not working very well.

    I've used this script forever, but for some reason it pops up an alert that says "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded," when the form is submitted. It's an old script from PHPBuddy.

    Here is the script: // password_protect.php

    <?php

    # Simple password protection

    session_start();

    $admin_user_name = "admin";
    $admin_password = "admin";
    //you can change the username and password by changing the above two strings

    if (!isset($HTTP_SESSION_VARS['user'])) {

    if(isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['u_name']))
    	$u_name = $HTTP_POST_VARS['u_name'];

    if(isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['u_password']))
    	$u_password = $HTTP_POST_VARS['u_password'];

    I will be grateful for any help on this. Thanks! :confused:

  2. In Firefox on a 1024x768 screen, it seems to show like my site is a bit off. On the left side of the page, there is a white stripe going all the way down. It's like it's off a couple of pixels. And at the very bottom on the right side, you can tell that the page is bigger than the background by a few pixels as well.

    The site is 900px.

    If I look at it in IE, it looks fine.

    Any ideas?

  3. www.michaelzavala.com/beta1

    The logo is supposed to be underneath the drop down menu, and instead the top of the logo is being pushed down and starts at the bottom of the menu. I bet if I use absolute it would solve it, but I'd rather not use it cuz it won't fit with the different screen sizes right?

    /* NAV / HEADER / LOGO STYLE */
    #logo {
    clear: left;
    width: 233px;
    height: 200px;
    float: left;
    display: block;
    position: relative;
    z-index: 5;
    margin-top: 0px;

    }

    #nav_bar {
    width: 100%;
    height: 45px;
    background-color: #000000;
    }
    #nav_container {
    	width: 900px;
    	margin: 0px auto;
    }

  4. Here is the site I'm having problems with:

    www.mzliveonline.com

    It looks fine in FF. But in IE, there is no 5px padding from the content to the black footer. I can't use margin-bottom on my #content b/c that shows the background in FF. But it DOES work in IE. So I have no idea what to use to give that last picture (yellow bg in center col) space between the picture and the footer..

    Any ideas?

  6. Yeah, I've tried relative and all that does it move it below the People Mag feed. Let me try margin-top, ect and see how that does. What is the difference between margin and margin-top or whatever?

  7. My site : www.mzliveonline.com/mzLive

    The center and right text areas are set to absolute.

    The problem with that is that when you click on hide submenu on the nav bars, the other areas move but the center and right stay the same.

    What can I do to make this work? I've got alot more areas to put in place.

  8. I have a script in another directory i need to be included in my root dir. I tried to included it, but that won't work. So I just need to put it in some sort of iFrame. The problem with iFrame is that I have to set a large height for the page so not to have scroll bars if the page gets big. Any ideas on how to avoid that? Most of the time the page is to big for what the script has to offer.
