Thanks for the responses. I appreciate that. Still can't get it to work though but that might be because of other things in the .htaccess file.

I am having trouble coming up with the .htaccess entries to do the following: the current url looks like this http://www.domainname.com/provincial/bc/filename.php but I want it to look like this: http://www.domainname.com/filename.php Basically, no matter what the filename is, I want the "/provincial/bc/" hidden from the url. Thanks for any help.
