Passing a text box input to another form
in PHP Coding Help

Hi
I am very new to PHP so forgive me if this question has a simple solution. I am trying to code a simple login script in PHP but I am having trouble passing the username and password input to another form. I managed to get it working with the username and password input boxes underneath eachother, with an image as the submit button, but I cannot get it working when I place the input boxes and submit inage in different cells of a table. The code is below:

<td>*LOGIN USERNAME*</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>*LOGIN PASSWORD*</td>

</html>
The text between the *s are the username, password and submit image fields. Any help would be more than appreciated.
