  1. Quickbooks 9 Excell 2009, LibreOffice Calc 3 Joomla 3.0 HikaShop 2.1.1 I am wondering if anyone has experience with this and could offer some advice. What I would like to do is take a large inventory list (over 3000 products) from Quickbooks and expoert it into a spreadsheet. I would then like to take that spreadsheet and import it into HikaShop to feed my product list. Essentially, I can do this without problem. However, the fields required for HikaShop are obviously very different than the fields provided in the exported Quickbooks file. When there are thousands of products, doing this manually is quite a chore. For now, I am facing exporting the Quickbooks file and adding all these fields manually to match the Hika feilds. But, I would have to do this every time I export the inventory list from Quickbooks. Or, I can create a second inventory list with all the required HikaShop fields and manually put in the inventory information. Either way, I am writing inventory twice... I have not tried to do something like this, in this way, before, so I am wondering if anyone has a better solution for this? All I would like is the easiest, quickest way to imput inventory once and have it feed the Joomla site. Browsing forums, I have read breifly on doing sometype of mysql database and going from the back end, but this is a little out of my skill range to understand exactly what steps to take... The company is interested in getting a POS system with a bar code scanner soon, so if this offers additional solutions that would great. Any info is appriciated. If you need additional info, just ask! Thank you.
