  1. Hi guys, Thanks a lot for the help so far with my college work. I appreciate that. Sorry I am stuck on the following script and need a bit of help. I want users to be able to enter details inside input and textarea fields. I want the script to stop swear words and possibly replace with better one's or better still pops an alert window stating that the user has put inappropriate words. The script must be able to count words at the same time: <?php $string = "I hate idiots"; $bads = array('swearwords.txt'); //swearwords.txt contains all the swear words foreach ($bads as $bad) { if (strstr($string,$bad) !== false) { echo 'No bad words found, please continue to submit your form<br />'; } else { echo 'You entered a bad word, try again<br />'; } } ?> <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> function CountLeft(field, count, max) { if (field.value.length > max) field.value = field.value.substring(0, max); else count.value = max - field.value.length; } </SCRIPT> <form action="" method="post"> <input name="text" onKeyDown="CountLeft(this.form.text, this.form.left,50);" onKeyUp="CountLeft(this.form.text,this.form.left,50);"><!--/count here --><br /> <textarea name="text" onKeyDown="CountLeft(this.form.text, this.form.left,50);" onKeyUp="CountLeft(this.form.text,this.form.left,50);"> </textarea><!--/count here --><br /> <input type="submit" type="submit"> </form>
