ksduded
I am importing a excel converted csv file to mysql through phpmyadmin. The excel file has a date field, which is formatted as yyyy-mm-dd, but the input is in the form of dd/mm/yyyy. Once i save this excel file as a csv it stores the date in the dd/mm/yyyy format which imports as 0000-00-00 in the mysql database. There are two ways to get around this. Either conver the formatted date (yyyy-mm-dd) in excel to string and then convert to csv for import. Or somehow change the import options through phpmyadmin. Please guide. mwasif
Either conver the formatted date (yyyy-mm-dd) in excel to string and then convert to csv for import. This is the option or you can import date data in a varchar column and then use string functions to extract data in date format and update in date column.
