djpic
I am using a mysql database to track hits on my sites. Every time someone visit, it adds a new row in a table with the SiteID, IP address and time/date. When I look for a count, I just query the table with the SiteID, and find the number of rows to get the total hit count. My problem is, I want to find unique hit counts. For example: Someone hits the site today, and then tomorrow. The script adds one row with each hit. On both hits the IP address is the same. Is there a SQL SELECT statement that allows me to select the count each different IP address only once; returning a number ignoring all the additional hits with the same IP address?
