clown[NOR]
is there a way to program some sort of bot that keeps sending fake visitors to a website? if so.. is there a way to be able to block this? a friend of me is now suddenly getting over 100.000 hit's per day and his host is getting pissed cuz he's using way more bandwidth than he's payed for. Thanks in advance - Clown
Rohan Shenoy
Is the automated bot using some uncommon user agent string? May be he can block it?
clown[NOR]
we have no idea even what's causing this... so i just wondered if it's actually possible...
benphp
This sounds like a form of DoS - denial of service attack. I'd talk to the provider about getting them to block it.
