gofeddy
Hi, I have been working on creating a forum as a part of my college project. I wanted to have a Quick Reply feature that allows users who log in to reply to a topic directly by clicking on a button and entering the reply on the same page without going specifically into the reply page. So, I wanted to know how I will be able to provide such a feature. I found out that Ajax is necessary for this. If so, how will I be able to implement it or is there any other way to do this? Northern Flame
you dont really need ajax, you could just have each thread have a form under it with a textarea in which you can type something and just submit it.
abhi_10_20
bump :| but, isnt the real essence of quick reply lost, if we just add a form on the page and submit? quick reply works on javascript right? like... these smileys.. when you click on them.. they dynamically appear in the textarea... so... how to do this for implementing quick reply?
