ninedoors
I am looking for a php class that has been designed to deal with integrals and the integration process. I was looking at this board a couple of weeks ago and remember seeing a post which had a link to phpclasses website. I followed the link and the class there would be eacatly what I needed. Of course now when I went to phpclasses myself I couldn't find it. Does anyone know where I might find a class or tutorial on the best way to use php to integral a given function? Any help would be appreciated. Nick
GingerRobot
What kind of integration are you looking to do? This class here includes some numerical methods: http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/2812.html If you were looking for symbolic integration, then i think you'll probably struggle. ninedoors
I am trying to do symbolic integration. For my purposes right now the function will always be the same except changing the constants in the equation. I guess I will have to remember how to integrate multiple functions again. It's been a couple years since college so hopefully it all comes back to me. Thanks for the response. Nick
GingerRobot
Post up what you're trying to do, and im sure someone could point you in the right direction.
ninedoors
I figured a way around actually integrating. Just split the area into 1000 pieces calculated the function at each and added together (like we are taught before calculus). I guess you could say that I integrated. Thanks for the help anyways. GingerRobot
I guess you could say that I integrated. Yeah, that's an example of numerical integration.
