Hey All,

Is there a way to make Apache not expose .php~ source? I have a small security issues and when someone goes to http://www.example.com/index.php~, the source code gets exposed. It'd be wonderful if I could make apache not do this for all files that contain .php

Its not to do with Apache, its to do with your linux distro. Everytime your make modifications to files, a backup file is created before saving which is called file.ext~

I dont know how to stop this. There is most probably a setting somewhere
