tibberous
If I have two rows, is there a way I can swap the values of a field, without using a bunch of temporary variables and queries? colombian
An example of what you are asking would help. Your database table has "first name" and "last name" as fields. And you want to echo the "first name" instead of the last name on some parts? Why do you want to do something like that? Without knowing what you need, here's a thought: You can loop through the rows, and assign the value of 'last name' (using my hypothetical table above) in $row[1] to $row[2]. You wouldn't need temporary variables, specially if it is just two rows. $swap-var = $row[1]; $swap-var2 = $row[2]; And then update the table. You'll need at the least the update query =) -- A glimpse of the code to see what you're doing will also help us help you.
