passing variables between pages

Recommended Posts

hi all,

I am developing a small appointment web application for my university. Where students can enter all their appointment details. I store appointments (in MySql) in 3 categories

1) Name

2) Time

3) Description

when a particular student wants to list out all his appointments, the page should display only Name and Time of all the appointments. It has to create a link based on Name, where when the student clicks, it will have to display the description.

Why I need this is, let us say a student has 100 appointments. It will be messy to display all appointment's Name, Time and Description in a single page. Hence I will list out only Name and Time for all appointments. I will create a dynamic a href link based on Names, where when a user clicks it another php page or even a same php page should display description.

I don't know how to do this. could someone explain. i don't want to use GET and PUT method.
