Saving a .txt file in UNICODE format

After reading an existing txt file in UNICODE format,

(no problem with that)

I need to rewrite the txt file again UNICODE

(not UTF-8, to flash isn't the same thing)

 

I dont need to use the UNICODE stuff internally,

I just need to set something to the written file

keeps the originally UNICODE format.

 

I new previous version cannot support that

what about PHP 5?

UTF-8 IS probably what you want... maybe flash has a problem with/without BOMs

microsoft .txt's gerally only save in uTF-8. Perhaps you would need the script to save data in a .rtf file. or if you know how to you could have the script save data in a database that uses unicode instead of UTF-8.!

I did "bother" to read. Unicode is not an encoding. If you read the documentation for the unicode_decode and unicode_encode functions, you will see that they require an encoding.
