shadownet
Hi, I actually have two questions. Is there a way to put a page/hit counter on my homepage using an apache server? I used Microsoft FrontPage to make my website, and it has a plug-in for a page/hit counter but will not work with apache servers. My second question is, how do I make a place for viewers to leave a comment on one of my webpages using apache? Just a simple comment block that they type in a comment, hit submit, and the comments are added to the webpage on the side of the screen. Thank you for any help. §hadownet Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/104018-page-counter/ Share on other sites
wildteen88
For what you're wanting to do you'll need to make sure Apache is configured with a server side programming language. The most common being PHP Judging by your second question it sounds like the best option for your would be to install a simple PHP script called a shoutbox. There are many tutorials for creating a shoutbox. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/104018-page-counter/#findComment-532681 Share on other sites
