[SOLVED] Echo HTML after 'X' amount of words

Hey,

I would like to know if its possible to insert some HTML after a certain amount of words in some text?

I have set up the function to count the total amount of words, and I have it stored in a variable. I have also got a value for half of the total, so that I can find the middle of the text. What I would like to know is if it is now possible to count that many words into the post and insert some HTML then carry on with the rest of the text.

Is this possible?

I'm a beginner at PHP, but pick things up easily, so as long as you explain fully, I'll be fine.

Thanks in advance,

Alex

Okay, here is an example doing what you want.

<?php

$str = "Sample string of words Sample string of words Sample string of words Sample string of words Sample string of words Sample string of words";

$words = explode(" ", $str);
$middle = count($words) / 2;

$count = 0;
foreach ($words as $word){
   echo $word. ' ';

   if ($count == $middle) echo "<b><u>Some HTML</u></b> ";

   $count++;
}

?>
