[SOLVED] tricky problem

Hi folks I am actually not sure whether it would be better to post this in the css or even the html section, but I will go for this one.

I am trying to include a js-css-style-switch, which I found here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/stylesheetswitcher.htm

 

Both, the js-file as well as the css-files are in no subdirectory but straight on the localhost

 

This is the code I have included:

The switch as such looks like this:

The switch worked perfectly fine with files which are also not in a subdirectory. Obviously, there had to be problems with files/pages in subdirectories. Basically no stylesheet at all was attached. Therefore, I made the following changes.

<link rel="alternate stylesheet" type="text/css" title="blue-theme" href="../custom.css" />
<script src="styleswitch.js" type="text/javascript">

 

Now "default" design, works perfectly well on all levels, but not custom.css. It still only works with files which are not in subdirectories. This is quite startling, since they are both on the same "level".

Does anybody have a clue how I can fix this? I have the slight suspicion that is a really simple problem but I just can't find it.

I found the problem!

 

<script src="styleswitch.js" type="text/javascript">

has to be changed into

 

<script src="../styleswitch.js" type="text/javascript">

 

As I already suspected, something really simple.
