Blurring the parent window from within an Iframe

Hi all,

        I would like to blur parent document containing the iframe from within an iframe.At present i can only blur the current window but not the parent window.....is this possible within an iframe?

        seeking help ASAP...

I don't know what you mean with "I would like to BLUR ..." but you can access the parent frames this way(s):

 

"top" points to the frame on the top and "parent" points to the one next higher.

With parent.frames you can access all frames on the parent frame.

if you don't want to control an other frame in the parent frame, but the parent frame itself you could also try:

 

parent.document.getElementsByTagName("body")[0].bgColor = "#000000";

 

(in this example I'm changing the bg-color but you should be able to do whatever you want)
