ajax delete, IE says 1 item remaining in status bar...

When i add or delete using my ajax code, it says in the status bar of IE 6 or 7, 1 item remaining..then if i move my mouse, the item will be added (or deleted if u press delete), but the status bar will still say 1 item remaining... then i press the mouse button, and it says Done.

 

what's wrong with my code? or is it ie?...because in Firefox, it does not do this.
