Is there a way to get an options name thru php? I have the value us auto classed as $value, but how do i get the actual Options name.

<select><option value=masterruby>Master Ruby(s)</option></select>

For example, i want to be able to select the name Master Ruby(s) thu a $variable, the list is very long, and right now when the form has finished it reads out the value name which is masterruby, this looks very un tidey.

Have to do this...

<select name="choice">
<option value="masterruby">Master Ruby(s)</option>
<option value="master">Master(s)</option>
</select>

You need to add a name attribute to the select tag. This is what you get thru php...

<?
$get= $_POST['choice']; //the ouput of this will be the value of the option selected in the select box
?>
