jaymc
I have this <td>Hello</td> <td width="100%">loads of text in here</td> The first TD will only ever be the width the word "hello" takes up, the second TD will stretch to the remaining space. Perfect However, if I have this <td>Hello Everyone How Are You</td> <td width="100%">loads of text in here</td> The first TD will remain the width of the word Hello, all the other words will just automatically break onto a new line in the TD and the second TD will still get the full width What I want is for the first TD to be as wide as it needs to fit all the text in, no spanning. The second TD which is a lesser priority will just get the remaining space How can I do this without defining a static width for both TD's Thanks
wildteen88
Apply the following css to the first td: white-space: nowrap;
jaymc
That did not work. width="100%" on the second TD taks priority using white-space:pre did work though, thanks!
