[SOLVED] finding repeat data in large mysql database

Hey everyone,

 

I'm using MYSQL Server 5.0.45 Source distribution. I was wondering if it's possible to find all results that are equal... It's a very strange question.

 

What I mean is I just want to check if there are any repeat data in a column that I have. There are 700,000+ data entries in the column, and I just want to see if there are any data entries where they are the same. i.e. if two entries were "a" it would tell me.

 

If I haven't explained this well enough, please tell me and I'll try to do a better job. Thanks for your help!
