It is in yahoo.com website right now.

 

I don't see any good reasons why they needed this insane project.

 

If they are really smart why they just don't create a software that will simulate this.

 

and not conduct this in our own planet.

 

if i'm not mistaken the machine is not yet turned on once.

 

i think they will start running this machine this coming august, 2008.

why are the scientists don't take this project into the moon or mars and not here in our planet?

We don't have the technology to take it to the moon yet ;)

 

I'm actually really looking forward to seeing what results they find from it - this is the biggest physics experiment in many, many years, and it's absolutely fascinating watching it being set up. And if they do manage to create killer strangelets that turn all matter into dark matter, sticking the LHC on the moon wouldn't have made any difference since the strangelets would just float through space and get us anyway. :)
