start the page with a number and increment it every time a query executes.

$i=1;
$sql = "select * from something";
$res = mysql_query($sql) or die(mysql_error());
if($res){
$i++;
}

 

Then at the end of the page show results

echo "there were $i queries run on this page";

 

There might actually be some function for this somewhere
