jamesey
Hi, I really hope someone can help me! I've got a osCommerce store set-up and as I'm selling band clothing I'm trying to install an addon so I can keep stock of individual sizes, which an unmodified osCommerce store cannot do for some reason!!! Anyway, to install the addon i nmeed to open up PhpMyAdmin, select the database, click on the SQL tab.... i can do that all fine...... then it says enter the location of the sql file (which i had downloaded onto my harddrive) and click go. This is where im having errors coming up. I'm typing in this: C:\qtpro\new_install.sql new_install.sql is the file i need to load/run onto the database. it is saved on my C drive in a folder called "qtpro"... but what i tpyed above in phpmyadmin doesnt work. Is there anything else i need to do to make this work? At the moment im getting this error: Error There seems to be an error in your SQL query. The MySQL server error output below, if there is any, may also help you in diagnosing the problem ERROR: Unknown Punctuation String @ 2 STR: :\ SQL: c:\qtpro\new_install.sql SQL query: c:\qtpro\new_install.sql MySQL said: #1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'c:\qtpro\new_install.sql' at line
sam06
Open up the sql file in notepad, then copy and paste the text into the run sql box.
