[SOLVED] dynamic list menu and search

I have created a dynamic list menu

I wanted to know if someone can explain how I can now use it for search

e.g. so if someone selected something in my state list menu and submits it will search based on the selection.

SELECT * FROM table WHERE tablefield = $_POST['state']

 

that would be the sql

 

Form action would have to be filled in as well.
