Regex translation.

I am working on authentication Part. But stucked in regex. Actually i want to convert php regex to Python re... I have got the php regex working fine.. here:

 

$r = curl("www.somesite.com",1,0,0,null);
preg_match_all("/Auth=(.*)/i",$r,$r);
$auth=$r[1][0];

 

This php code is working fine. but when i translated it to python:

 

r = curl("www.somesite.com")
	m = re.search("Auth=(.*)",r,re.I)
	auth = m.group(1)

 

Its not matching any entry.. I also tried re.compile, re.findall and all other expression... but its not working... Can any one help me in this one?

What kind of regex does Python use? Do you need delimiters?
