[SOLVED] mysqli_insert_id()

I'm using MYSQL Version 5 and PHP 5.2.5.  If I do an insert on a table and then use the mysqli_insert_id function without using transactions is it possible to get the wrong auto_increment value from another user thats doing the same thing at the same time?

$cxn=mysqli_connect($hostname,$username, $password, $dbname) or die('Unable to connect to database! Please try again later.');
$query = "INSERT INTO $usertable (firstName, lastName, street, city, state, zip, phone, email employer, jobtitle, amount) VALUES($first, $last, $street, $city, $state, $zip, $phone, $email, $employer, $jobtitle, $amt)";
mysqli_query($cxn,$query);
$id=mysqli_insert_id($cxn);
mysqli_close($cxn);
