i have already tried with localhost, the computer name, the ip adress, from LAN,also the internet adress, firewall is disabled, but nothing.the page is loading for ever but nothing appears.i have tried erlier to install appserv also, still nothing, same problem. :((

Check your hosts file (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc) open the hosts file into Notepad. Make sure the following line is in there

127.0.0.1       localhost

Also what settings are you using when you installed Apache? For the Network and Server Name settings you should just use localhost

yes, that line is there .

and, yes i have used localhost on obth.

anyway i have uninstaled apache, and now it is working with appserv-win32-2.4.0.exe that contains #  Apache Web Server Version 1.3.29

hope this will do .

thank you very much anyway :)
