VenomLeon
Hi! I'm in need for serious help with a php script for a membersystem that i've found while surfin. I added the system on my site's design, and i made it in the same map as the mem. system, which also has directories as Admin and Include, the files from the system outside the map are pages for stuff such as the edit profile page, view profile and login form. Anyway, when i finished my template within that folder (it was called LoginSystem) and added the folder inside the server, it worked like a charm when i tested the website within the folder. However, when i decided to add all the pages and directories to the root of my server, the membersystem started to work incorrectly, showing only the header of my page, and nothing else. I checked the file connections of the membersystem and they're perfect, yet i feel like i'm still missing a fact somewhere. According to the website that have the membersystem from, the <? include("include/session.php)"?> should always be on to of the page, and even before placing the files to my root, it was on top, with no problems. But now i'm starting to believe that it's the cause of my problem. Membersystem link(its donwloadable): http://www.evolt.org/article/PHP_Login_System_with_Admin_Features/17/60384/ My website: www.douglas-elemex.net (removed the memberlogin.php part of the page, otherwise you will only see the header, but go to another page through the menu, and you'll see the problem, i kept the memberlogin.php include's there, but its not visible, only the header) my session.php (if interrested): <? /** * Session.php * * The Session class is meant to simplify the task of keeping * track of logged in users and also guests. * * Written by: Jpmaster77 a.k.a. I do atleast know that my newssystem cant be the problem, since it also worked well along with the memberscript first. I hope i explained my problem well. VenomLeon
Like how? ??? (please have patience with me ) this is my current structure: /httpdocs (here are the files like the index and profile & edit page for members)/ /httpdocs/admin/ /httpdocs/include/ This was the structure before placing the files in the httpdocs directory: /httpdocs/LoginSystem/admin/ /httpdocs/LoginSystem/include/ I worked perfectly back when the website was like this. And personally wouldnt like visitors to enter the site like www.douglas-elemex.net/LoginSystem/index.php Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/117241-need-help-with-a-membersystem-found-on-the-net/#findComment-603392 Share on other sites

VenomLeon
The pages on which i Include the memberlogin.php, and when i remove that include on the page, the page shows up normaly. i recently tested the register page, by removing the included memberlogin.php first, and tried registering myself, weird enough this didnt work either, showing my a message of failure. i've also tested if the system would work again if i would try the httpdocs/loginsystem/ method again, and suprisingly it didnt work this time :-\.. it does has some config-like files btw..: process.php <? /** * Process.php * * The Process class is meant to simplify the task of processing * user submitted forms, redirecting the user to the correct * pages if errors are found, or if form is successful, either * way. revraz
Is session.php in the include folder? Are database.php, mailer.php, form.php in the include folder? Is process.php in the httpdoc folder? You called main.php register.php, is that right? Is this file also in your httpdoc folder? VenomLeon
Files in the include folder (and are suppose to): session.php, database.php, mailer.php, form.php, view_active.php, constants.php admin folder: admin.php, adminprocess.php Files not placed inside a folder: forgotpass.php, main.php (i named this file to memberlogin.php), process.php, register.php, useredit.php, userinfo.php these files are inside my root (httpdocs) directory. I recently added the normal main.php into my root directory, and it seems to show up normaly, and memberlogin.php doesnt, so i'm now gonna check if keeping main.php as its named will solve the problem.. VenomLeon
Good news, got it working! i should hade left the main.php kept like it was named, and edit the looks on that file. I than had some registration errors due to adding more MySQL fields, and didnt add those new fields in the session.php when one would register. Thanks alot for your time and patience, really appreciated it!
