Hello PHPFreaks,

The issue:

I have written an RSS Feed using Domdocument.

My users are able to paste a text into fckeditor, where I save the text to a mysql database. The fieldtype is TEXT with utf8_general_ci. When displaying my RSS Feed I am having trouble with word characters...at first I simply write a replace function replacing double back quotes etc...but now my Feed is having problems with the famous " ... " from word.

I output the feed using header: header('Content-Type: text/xml; charset=iso-8859-1');

The feed is parsed perfectly in firefox, safari.but IE is shouting in my face.

Is there a simple solution to solve any character issues in RSS Feed? (if not, give me the difficult solution).

Thanks in advance!
