lindm
Trying to make the width of a form text input field exactly match the width of a table cell. Somehow Dreamweaver displays that the cell is forced to be 2 px wider. No matter what I try this doesn't disappear. Is this impossible? My test code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> <style type="text/css"> <!-- table td {padding:0px;margin:0px;} input {width:120px; border-width:0px; margin:0px; padding:0px;} </style> </head> <body> <table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td width="120px"><input type="text" name="textfield" id="textfield"/></td> <td width="120px"> </td> <td width="120px"> </td> </tr> </table> </body> </html>
dannyb785
have you tested this code in a browser yourself? I tried IE and FF and it appears to be just fine(the td and the input are the same width)
