JsusSalv Posted August 12, 2008 Share Posted August 12, 2008 Hello: I'd like to get some opinions regarding the security risks when connecting to an external MySQL database (db). I have a website on one hosting service that does not provide a db for me to use. However, I'd like to use a db for the content. I have an empty account at another hosting service that does provide a database. This secondary host does not provide enough space for the website otherwise I'd use it for everything. Assuming I can connect to this external db, what security risks should I be aware of? The website won't have much dynamic content. Thank you!
