At the moment I am able to detect if a user has Javascript enabled switched off on there browser and then pump out an appropriate message regarding this matter, however is there a way to offer the user the option to switch on javascript via a button on the webpage?

most likely not because, if that did exist it would allow programmers to AUTOMATICALLY turn this on.. which defeats the purpose of the users ability to turn this on or off..

The bestyou could probably do for this situtaion is a pop up telling them the site experience will be hindered unless JS is set to ON
