wmguk
Hey, I've been looking at phpBB v3 and I'm trying to work out how its set out so i can integrate it in to my website, using my exisiting login / password database, but I also want it to look seemless to my own site, so it doesnt look like just a dropped in system... Can anyone just point me in the right sort of directions? I've edited styles/prosilver/template/overallheader.html but that hasnt changed anything.... any thoughts? discomatt
You're MUCH better off changing your current login system to reflect phpBBs. There are plenty of tutorials on using phpBBs auth class to create/verify the proper sessions and cookies. wmguk
basically the member site I am using is for up to 40 members max and they just want someway to post private messages within the group. It will not allow new sign ups etc etc... maybe a forum is too much - I dont want any PM's or calander or anything like that.... literally just create a topic and then post or edit messages within the topics. its been a while since i used phpbb - infact its been at least 3 years, so what i did know has long gone but I was sure that overallheader was the main header etc.... maybe I can just create a simple almost "guestbook" style messaging board...
