I made a backup of the database but it will not restore on the new server because it has a different name for the database. How can I rename my database so it will restore? I have read NOT to use rename database if it is available to me, but i'm not sure what I SHOULD do. Thanks! cooldude832 Posted September 9, 2008 Share Posted September 9, 2008 If u pulled a dump out of phpmyadmin it should just be of the table and their data so the database name is irrelevant.
