jasper182
On my html form, I'm creating dynamic textboxes with javascript whenever the user selects an "Add New" button. However, when I post the page back to the server I am having problems deciding how to best parse the dynamic fields because I am unsure how many fields were created or if others that were previously created are now deleted. For example, when the data is posted back, I could have the textboxes "textbox1, textbox2, textbox3" or I could have "textbox3, textbox5, textbox6" if the user added fields and then deleted some of them. If anyone could help point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Also, if more information is needed, please let me know. Thanks. PFMaBiSmAd
Use an array, either specifically numbered textbox[1], textbox[2]... or let them be numbered by the browser textbox[], textbox[]... Then in the form processing code you can simply use a foreach() loop to iterate over them - foreach($_POST[textbox] as $value) { echo $value; } Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/123668-dynamic-post-variables/#findComment-638617 Share on other sites
jasper182
Great, I was hoping there was a way to post them as an array. I'll try it out. Thanks!
