Making an Animated Gif using PHP

I was originally told it couldn't be done.

And i've seen outputs where it does work. The problem i have is that it's not working for me. I've tried so many different approaches, i just can't get it to work. I know the individual frames of my gif are being output just fine, as when i save them to a seperate directory they open just fine.

Here's the relevant part of my code;

If i don't have the header set to GIF, and "The image “http://localhost/UG/rotatesphere.php” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors." if i do.
