Hey all,

i haven't posted on here before but I've been searching for a solution to my current problem, I am currently trying to create a file upload script for a client, the files will either be .doc or .pdf format and the users must be able to download them, however I dont like the idea of storing the actual file in my database and have been searching  for how i would go about storing just the location the file was uploaded to instead, so far all tutorials i have found on this subject are using BLOB to store the file in the database, does anyone know of any good tutorials showing how I would go about this ??

TIA folks

(p.s. if i have posted this in the wrong section please feel free to move it where ever it needs to be :) )
