ErcFrtz
I have a question about using explode. My code reads a file and I know that when you give it the file it creates an array of each line. I want to use explode() to break apart each line so I can do things with the individual items. Each line is tab delimited and so I tried using: $explodedArray = explode("\t",$fileArray); But this does not work. Is there a way in which I can do this. The lines need to stay tab delimited. wildteen88
You'll have to loop through the $fileArray array then apply explode on each item within the array. foreach($fileArray as $line) { $bits = explode("\t", $line); echo '<pre>' . print_r($bits, true) . '</pre><hr />'; } Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/126320-solved-exploding-strings/#findComment-653190 Share on other sites
