Java / Tomcat / resin gave me a built-in connection pool mechanism which Im not finding a counterpart for in php. Ultimately the site will be deployed in Apache 2 so I've been trying to read about mod_dbd but Im not finding much in the way of samples for PHP. I've searched what I thought were the relevant forums here but I didn't find much referencing either "mod_dbd" or "connection pool".
